I first met Uncle Yosi in 1993 when we stayed at Volta Hall on honeymoon after joining the family marring Angelina Afua (Laing). He made sure we were very well looked after by Joyce and he amongst other members of the family including Uncle Sammy made me feel very welcome in the family. We had a number of memorable visits to his home with him and Aunty Mildred, as well as an Evening trip to Commonwealth Hall to be introduced to the joys of Ghanian Beer and chinchinga (not sure of spelling; kebabs) before a memorable, not too eventful trip back to Volta Hall in his car. On each of our all too infrequent visits to Ghana he has always been a very convivial host organising lunches for us at Legon including the Deans Guesthouse. Our next trip will not seem quite the same. Brian Hunter
